Located on a small lot in downtown Toronto, the Bellwoods Lodge is a three-story residence designed by Nice Lake Studio as a household’s city retreat. The shut household’s love of outside led the design plan, which finds its front room on the highest ground surrounded by the tree tops performing like a cabin within the woods. Cedar planks clad the ceiling and a wooden range warms the room to create a comfy and peaceable sanctuary for the household to take pleasure in.
A brief staircase up results in an out of doors terrance with views of the town, sunsets, and the evening sky.
Skylights and a multi-split stage ground plan create a light-weight nicely that brings pure mild to all three flooring of the residence.
The bottom ground is one other break up stage with the kitchen and eating room raised above a sunken library/sitting room which connects to the entrance porch.
A suspended mattress within the youngsters’s room retains the ground free and makes the house really feel larger.
The decrease stage entrance acts as an enormous closet with wall storage for bikes and house for coats and boots to be hidden away.
